Through life’s journey, it is amazing to see how God prepares us for what’s next. I grew up in Canfield, just outside of Youngstown. I have always loved this area and enjoy so much of the rich heritage and relationships that feel so much like home. My wife and I met working at a summer camp over 25 years ago and became friends while serving on staff together. We have always dreamed of having camp be our life. I attended Taylor University/Indiana and graduated with a degree in Christian Education with a certificate in Youth Ministry (1999.) I have had the great opportunity to have been in full-time ministry as well as work for 12 years in the trades. My wife and I have three boys and have been married for 21 years. Camp is home for us.
God has used both my ministry experience and work outside of full-time ministry to refine me and make me aware of my passions. I love the outdoors, but most of all, I love being a part of something God is moving in and through for His purpose.

God’s faithfulness has been so clearly apparent in my life. I spent most of my childhood growing up in Shrewsbury, PA about an hour south of Lancaster. My life was changed as a camper at Black Rock Retreat, the love and guidance that my counselors showed me were incredibly influential in my decision to seek after God and his plan for my life. Since then, I have been looking to let God use me to impact the lives of campers in the same way God used my counselors to impact me. I have come to love all that camp ministry entails and the unique ability it has to produce vulnerability and growth in the lives of all who come.
God has blessed me with lots of opportunities to learn and grow in confidence and knowledge over my 4 years of camp ministry experience. I have a passion for teaching kids about God and his creation. It is a constant blessing to see God working in my and others’ lives through Camp Frederick
